New Event Space Will Be Latest Addition To This Charlotte North Carolina Hot Spot
Charlotte, North Carolina continues to grow by leaps and bounds. A great deal of that activity takes place right around the popular South End area near Uptown. On any given day the streets fill with folks walking, biking and scootering to all the restaurants and breweries that keep popping up on every corner. And, according to AXIOS Charlotte, a rehabbed property once home to office space on North Tryon has new owners with plans for a new event space and more.
The owner is Browder Group Real Estate, which bought the property from Foundation Supply. And, originally the group saw the space as a potential for more office workers. However, the pandemic changed our habits and how we approach work. More and more employees work from home these days, rendering the need for traditional work space nearly obsolete.
So, what happens now with the roughly 25,000 square foot space? Reports say the name will be “The Casey.” And, the plans include a reception area, event space and bars both indoors and outdoors. Plus, The Casey will have a full kitchen and catering space. And, this means it could be your go-to for your next big event such as that very special wedding.
Browder Group plans to open The Casey in April of 2024. And, in addition to the huge event venue, there are plans for a coffeehouse and climbing gym. So, with the space having so much available contained within the property, it’s pretty much a one stop for folks looking to host events that appeal to everyone.
And, in looking at artist renderings of the planned space, it has that industrial type, open and exposed brick feel that appeals to so many. So, we anticipate this will be a popular hot spot once it’s all up and running. For more details, see the complete story from AXIOS Charlotte.
