The Best Beer Garden In The United States Is In North Carolina And Here’s Where It Is
Spend any time at all in Charlotte, North Carolina, and you can’t help but notice we have tons of spots to quench your thirst. More specifically, I’m referring to breweries and beer gardens. And, we love a chance to grab our friends and have a “Sunday Fun Day” hopping around from spot to spot. So, it’s no surprise that when USA Today asked beer lovers to pick their favorite beer gardens for their “10 Best” around the country, Charlotte Beer Garden came in at number 1.
We were just enjoying Charlotte Beer Garden in South End a couple of weeks ago. And, not only is the beer good, the food is really delicious and affordable. First, the place is huge. It’s a multi-level, multi-bar facility with more than 400 beers on tap. There’s so many spots to relax and enjoy a brew either indoors or outdoors. Plus, I highly recommend grabbing a pizza and an order or two of the Mac n Cheese Bites. Those little fried bites are delectable. And, our pizza was solid and only $11! These days it’s hard to find a place to enjoy drinks that also serves food. Furthermore, finding affordable places is even tougher. And, for non beer drinkers Charlotte Beer Garden offers an extensive cocktail and wine list.
But, even though Charlotte Beer Garden landed at the top of USA Today’s 10 Best list, it’s not the only spot in North Carolina to make it. Raleigh Beer Garden in the downtown Glenwood South district came in at number 3. The Raleigh Beer Garden features a rooftop bar and more than 375 beers on tap.
And, in browsing the rest of the list, something else caught my eye. It’s the location coming in at number 6. Of course, the number 6 spot is nowhere near the Carolinas. But, I did visit it just a couple of months ago. It’s Cisco Brewers in Nantucket, Massachusetts. My son is doing a summer internship at a nearby golf course. And, all the locals told us to hit up Cisco before leaving. It was fantastic. There were bars galore, outdoor spaces as well as indoor. And, there was live music. Highly recommend if you’re ever there. Cheers!
