Founder’s Feast Comes To North Carolina And Here’s What You Need To Know
A Harvest Cobb Salad at Trolley Barn in South End Charlotte, North Carolina. Founder's Feast food event will be held at the restaurant November 8.
When it comes to food I rarely miss a chance to join in any festivities. And, when I saw a news segment about Founder’s Feast in North Carolina I was excited. I was watching Charlotte Today on WCNC when they introduced a guest from the Piedmont Culinary Guild. They appeared on the show to discuss the upcoming Founder’s Feast on November 8 in Charlotte’s South End.
And, as icing on the cake, so to speak, Founder’s Feast takes place at Trolley Barn (Fermentory & Food Hall) right near Atherton in Charlotte. So, my ears perked up because I visited Trolley Barn for the first time recently. And, I absolutely loved it. We were there for a night of Taylor Swift trivia. My husband and I accompanied an avid fan. And, by the way, she swept the competition!
But, back to the topic at hand. The special fundraising dinner brings together chefs, farmers and folks advocating ‘farm-to-table’ in Charlotte. Guests are set to enjoy dishes from chefs responsible for the movement and passed samples as well. The reception at Trolley Barn for Founder’s Feast takes place from 5-6:00 p.m. Then, plated courses kick off afterward at 6:30. And, the tickets are a little pricier at $225. But, it is a fundraiser. Get the limited tickets at Eventbrite.
And, Piedmont Culinary Guild is a network of regional chefs supporting locally sourced farm to table movements and connecting the food chain. Therefore, they help ensure that the food is fresher and of great quality.
Now, let’s talk about why I love Trolley Barn where the event is being held. It’s a really cool vibe with fantastic drinks and food. I had the most incredible Harvest Cobb Salad with juicy grilled chicken. It was full of apples, butternut squash, dried cranberries, boiled eggs and goat cheese. The flavors popped as did the incredible vinaigrette! So, if you can check out Founder’s Feast, do so. But, make sure you visit Trolley Barn, too!
