Lexington License Plate Agency Is Back Open
Getting a vehicle tag just got easier for one North Carolina town. After nearly five months, the Lexington license plate agency is back open.
According to the North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles, Lexington’s license plate agency (LPA) reopened earlier this week. Area residents had been without a local LPA since September 29 of last year, when the previous owner’s contract ended.
If you’re familiar with Lexington, you won’t have any trouble fining the new license plate agency because it’s in the same location as the old one: 27 Plaza Parkway in the Parkway Plaza Shopping Center. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday except holidays.
North Carolina license plate agencies are managed by private businesses or local governments. In Lexington, the new operator is Bethany Fay. LPAs offer vehicle registration services and title transactions, as well as vehicle license plate renewals, replacement tags, handicap placards and duplicate registrations. Lexington’s reopened license plate agency is one of 121 across the state.
