Popular Charlotte Brewery Opens New Waxhaw Location
I cannot relate, and wish I could, to the story of the Middle James Brewing Company. Two friends: home brewer, Mike Smoak, and brewer Andrew Viapiano met while making beer at one of Charlotte, North Carolina’s bigger breweries. The boys dreamed of opening their own shop. Within a couple of years, the two of them opened their first location in August of 2019.
Look I get it. I can’t tell you the number of radio station conversations I’ve had with co-workers over the years that went something like, “If we owned this place, I guarantee it would be better. We’d do _____ and _____.” However, there’s NO WAY we could make it happen. Mike and Andrew did. Jelly am I.
What Are The Locations Of Middle James Brewing Company?
I’m a fiend for breweries and craft cocktail bars. Middle James Brewing Company has a reputation for have really good beer and pub food with a good, laid-back vibe. In other words, the real me. The first store for Middle James Brewing Company is in Pineville. Soon thereafter, the Rock Hill location popped up. By the way, Rock Hill? Rock Hill is sneaky good for breweries, just saying. Check it out on your next Sunday Fun Day. Anyway, the franchise with the motto of “Great Beer, Better People” adds their name to the growing list of fun spots in Waxhaw beginning today (May 10).
What About Waxhaw’s Middle James Brewing Company
Beginning with the opening of the doors at 1pm today, Middle James Brewing Company in Waxhaw is ready to rock. Here’s some 411 according to their Facebook page.
We are very excited to welcome you into our new taproom to meet our team, see what we have been working so hard on these last few weeks, and of course have a nice cold beverage. Given the beautiful views of the town from our sidewalks, we couldn’t resist making the most of these areas by adding a significant amount of outdoor seating that we hope you will enjoy!
Please be mindful that per law, all patrons must stay within the marked areas when drinking in our taproom. Waxhaw does not have a social district, even during events like the Kaleidoscope Festival this weekend. We want you to hang around and get to know our space and our team so why not take a seat anyways.
We are happy to host your pets in our new outdoor space and we had them in mind when re-developing that area. Our team prides ourselves in keeping our taproom as clean as it possibly can be and one of our owners (it’s Mike) is extremely allergic to pet dander, so unfortunately, we will not be able to allow them inside the taproom (aside from service animals of course).
Fired up to make a stop this weekend to the new Waxhaw location of Middle James Brewing Company. Perhaps a good Mother’s Day stop?
