Dale Earnhardt Jr and Ken Schrader Share An Emotional Moment
The connection between Dale Earnhardt Jr and Ken Schrader goes back a long time and is deeply rooted in NASCAR history. Schrader’s #36 car was one of the ones involved in the fatal turn of events that resulted in the death of Dale Earnhardt at Daytona back in 2001. Schrader was also one of the first ones on the scene of the crash. He has never spoken publicly about what he saw. The two men talked during Junior’s podcast and shared a very emotional moment.
The station went into mourning that day. Dale Earnhardt came to the radio station frequently. He was a big fan of country music. Here’s how the conversation went:
"I feel pain for you to have to carry that memory, but you carry it for me... you carry it for anyone who's ever cheered for him."
