Survey: This Is What People Dislike Most About Their Boss
The boss, your supervisor, the manager, the big cheese; there are lots of words for the person in charge. If you are lucky it is someone you admire, feel inspired by and respect but often that is not the case. This is what people dislike most about their boss.
The career expert Zippia surveyed 2,000 workers to better understand a toxic boss employee relationship which included asking them what characteristics and behaviors they least like in their managers. Here are a few of the traits people really do not like in their boss; laziness, ungrateful, and not appropriate.
Here are the top ten things we do not like in a boss. Bad temper: nearly three percent of people say they are constantly walking on eggshells in fear of their boss losing his temper or her temper. 9) The boss is too self serving. You know the one, the boss that thinks they are the best thing since sliced bread and is always taking credit for the hard work. 8) A boss that gossips. Office gossip is inevitable but when the boss does it, that’s not good and not appreciated. 7) Poor listener! Ding ding ding. I really dislike this in a boss and apparently I am not the only one. 6) No empathy. The boss with the low emotional IQ. They simply do not care if you are taking care of your kids or your sick mother.
This rounds out the top five most annoying traits of bad bosses. 5) The condescending boss. Chances are you have felt dismissed by the guy or girl in charge but if this problem persists. There’s a problem.
4)Rudeness is not cool if its anyone, but it can be especially hard to deal with if its your boss. 3) In competence. There is a difference between a boss that is hard to please and a boss that simply does not know what they are doing. 2)Un available.
