Authorities On The North Carolina Coast Are Begging Tourists To Stop This
My husband and I were walking Winnie on the beach a couple of weeks ago. You know, not really paying attention to where we were placing our feet, and wham, I ended up at the bottom of some little kids hole they had been digging in the sand. He was just a little fella and looked horrified when I stumbled in.
His mama quickly scolded him but the problem really is when people walk away from their digging. First responders on the coast are seeing an increase of people falling in and either spraining or breaking something. Find out more here from the Daily Press.
Firefighters at Kill Devil Hills on the North Carolina coast put out a warning to fill those holes back in before you leave your spot on the beach. They recently spent hours filling in a nine-foot hole.
