Video: Deacon Frey is Flying From The Eagles
Glenn Frey’s son Deacon has decided it is time for him to fly from The Eagles. The 24 year had some very big shoes to fill when he joined the legendary band almost five years ago but fill them he did. The group announced yesterday that Deacon will be an Eagle no more. He is going to make a go of it on his own. And in my humble opinion, he is ready.
People ask me from time to time what my favorite concert is of all time . That is a really tough question because I have been to some epic ones. Garth in 1998 was huge but I have to say seeing the Eagles at a stadium show in Florida a few years ago was for sure the highlight. Even though most of their hits came out before I was of age , my big sisters had all their albums and played them constantly. I fell in love with the Eagles as little bitty girl and they did not disappoint. Man that was a night I will never forget.
Glenn Frey passed away in 2016 from a combination of things according to the Boot. He suffered from arthritis, colitis and pneumonia. It could have been the end of the Eagles but then both Deacon and Vince Gill stepped in to fill the gap.
