I have heard about this over the past few months and it got my attention. My Dad died from Alzheimer’s disease so I am like a sponge when any kind of research comes out. Some published reports say nose picking may lead to Alzheimer’s disease.
According to Medical News Today and Australia’s Griffith University, you can damage the lining of your nose which can increase bacteria that goes to your brain. “We suspected for a long time that bacteria and even viruses can lead to neuroinflammation and contribute to initiation of Alzheimer’s disease. however the bacteria alone may not be enough to cause disease in someone.”
