Beat The Heat At New North Carolina Indoor Golf Club

The notion of a place like Tempo Golf Club in Huntersville crossed my mind on both Saturday and Sunday for two different reasons.  I was playing golf on both days.  On Saturday it was hotter than six Hells and therefore made walking 5-6 miles worth of golf course not nearly as fun and relaxing as usual.  Sunday’s round was interrupted and then cancelled on the on the 16th hole by 4 inches of rain that fell in less than 30 minutes.

Both weather issues would have been rendered moot if I had been at Tempo Golf Club instead of a traditional golf facility.  It’s always dry, cool, and 75 degrees.  Tempo Golf Club is Huntersville’s first indoor golf facility.  Open seven days a week, Tempo is equipped with professional golf simulator technology and an augmented reality putting system.  Now, don’t be intimidated.  Tempo golf is great fun for all levels of golfer whether beginner, casual or scratch.  And unlike a traditional golf club, Tempo Golf allows play on more than 500 golf courses without ever having to leave the Queen City.

Tempo Golf Club is a brand-new escape from the heat having opened on June 3.  And unlike a lot of other indoor facilities, Tempo Golf Club also has a fully functional putting simulator/green to work on that part of your game.  Memberships, leagues, and lessons are readily available.  As are beverages and snacks before, during, and after golf.

Tempo Golf Club is open (rain or shine <g>) Monday – Thursday, 10 am – 9 pm, Friday – Saturday, 9 am – 10 pm, and Sunday, 10 am – 8 pm.
