News Anchor ‘Flips Off’ National TV Audience
When you turn on the news you expect to get some bad stuff. You don’t think that the anchor will be telling you that you are ‘number 1.” A news anchor ‘flipped off’ a national TV audience. It was of course an accident.
Maryam Moshiri is a lead anchor for the BBC and she became the center of controversy. Maryam did what is probably done by news anchors around the world. She was messing with the crew when the cameras caught the gesture live. Oops.
CBS News reports that Moshiri said she was pretending to count down as the director counted down from 10. She held up 10 fingers and counted down on them. When the countdown reached one, she turned her middle finger around “as a joke and did not realize that this would be caught on camera.”
So far the BBC hasn’t had any response. I am sure they did behind closed doors.
