3 Ways You Can Reduce Fatigue Without Sleeping
Life can be full of surprises and change and sometimes we just don’t get the sleep we need leading to fatigue. The good news is that there are ways to naturally reduce fatigue according to Optimist Daily.
Follow natural energy cycles
Your body has natural energy cycles throughout the day that can help you to predict when you’ll have the highest amounts of energy to beat fatigue. Most people have the highest energy levels in the morning after breakfast. This could be the best time to get physical tasks or high mental energy tasks done. During the afternoon, or when you begin to usually feel tired, you can schedule tasks like writing emails or doing easy chores.
Get moving
Exercise might be one of the last things that you want to do while fatigued but it’s actually one of the best things you can do. Moving increases the blood flow in your body which can lead to you feeling much more awake and ready to take on the day. If possible it’s a good idea to work out in nature. Being in natural light outside helps to trigger your body’s internal clock to release energy by recognizing its daytime. Even just a short walk outside in the morning can completely change how you feel throughout the day.
Socialize
Socializing can actually help to wake you up, even if you don’t feel like doing it while tired. Talking with others releases what we call feel-good hormones like serotonin, dopamine and oxytocin. These not only help to improve mood but also help you feel more alert and awake. Even just calling someone or going out for coffee can change your day, both physically and mentally.
