An accused shoplifter ended up reportedly killing a worker in Wilmington. This North Carolina Walmart brawl sadly turns deadly. The worker was a man who everyone says was a friendly 67 year old grandfather.

The Wilmington area man was the kind of guy that would give you the “shirt off his back” according to our source the Charlotte Observer. Mark Paz was killed while at work on Saturday at the Carolina Beach Road location in New Hanover County.
Employees Tried To Stop It From Happening
According to charlotteobserver.com, “Several Walmart employees attempted to stop a man from shoplifting when a fight occurred,” deputies wrote in a Facebook post. “The suspect brandished a firearm and fired one shot hitting a Walmart employee. The victim died at the scene.”
The suspect was captured in the parking lot and charged with first degree murder. The man is identified as 35 year old Dean Michael Newman. Seriously, who would think a place like Walmart, in a lovely coastal town, would be the scene of someone losing their life by gunfire. For more details, check them out here.
