North Carolina Man Says Winning Lottery ‘Big Jolt…Like Adrenaline’
I imagine all of us have a thing that gives us “that rush.” For me, it’s always been athletics. Competing is a huge shot of adrenaline that I never get tired of feeling. However, I expect that to happen. It’s the unexpected adrenaline surge that might catch you off guard. It’s only happened a couple of times in my life. When I was told I was going to be a father? Boom.
For 21-year-old U.S. Army electrical mechanical engineer, Brandon Jones, it was scratching off a lottery ticket and realizing he was about to have a pretty big bank deposit. According to the Rock Hill Herald, Jones told lottery officials, “You don’t believe it at first. It’s like a big jolt to your body, like adrenaline. Pretty cool.”
“Dear Lottery gods, Is there any way, I can arrange that particular adrenaline blast and the cause of it for myself? I promise I’ll let you know the difference between winning a large sum of money and realizing a large sum of money was about to leave (becoming a father <g>).”
In case you were wondering, Brandon Jones purchased his winning ticket in Salisbury at the Home Run Market. After Uncle Sam and the state take their bite, Jones’ deposit had a sum of $106,876. He plans to save a little and eventually use the rest to buy or build a house.
Let me continue my plea to the lottery gods, “I’m not greedy. I’m not asking for a Powerball or Mega Millions jackpot. Just a little scratch off love. I promise I’ll do some good with it.” <g>
