North Carolina Woman Can’t Believe ‘Second Chance’ Lottery Win
This is the kind of news that may make me change my mind and method of playing the lottery. Edgecombe County, North Carolina’s Sandra Culifer put her ticket from the “Multiply the Cash” game into a second-chance drawing. Stop right there.
At this point if you’re like me, you’re saying, “Uh-uh. You got my money on this turd of a ticket once, you’re not getting it again.” Sandra has a different philosophy. She does this pretty much every time. And this time it paid off to the tune of $200,000 from The North Carolina Education Lottery.
Culifer told lottery officials, “It’s one of those dreams you have but never really think is going to happen,” Culifer said. “And now the dream came true.”
I’ll say. After taxes Sandra took home more than $142,000 that will go to paying off some bills and sharing with family.
Now, if you do play the second chance here’s the part that would throw me off. After she entered the process on June 7th, she received an email telling her of her win. With so much scam and spam out there in the email sphere, I probably would have deleted it without opening. You too, right? So keep in mind, no one ever wins a second chance lottery by clicking, “delete.”
According to the Raleigh News & Observer, Sandra told the lottery, “I glanced at the email and saw it came from lottery and I said, ‘Wait a minute. This says I won, I had to go find out if it was real.”
Congrats to Sandra Culifer on her ‘Second Chance’ lottery win. Jealous am I.
