A dedicated and loyal York County Sheriff’s Office bloodhound dies unexpectedly. And it is landing hard for the people who knew, loved and were helped by Fred.
Dedicated and Loyal York County Sheriff’s Office Bloodhound Dies Unexpectedly
According to wbtv.com, Fred was a “dedicated and exceptional” member of the York County Sheriff’s Office K9 team. He served on the team for ten years. He passed away yesterday. Sheriff Kevin Tolson told the television station, “Fred’s legacy of bravery and service will continue to inspire and remind us of the vital role that our K9 units play in ensuring the safety and protection of York County,”. Fred accomplished a lot for law enforcement. He reportedly was part of over 250 suspect captures and was “critical” in locating missing persons.
Job Well Done Fred
Fred’s service was in the care of K9 supervisor Sgt Chris Kinsey. Kinsey tells WBTV they responded to more than 500 calls together in York and surrounding counties. You know this lands hard for Kinsey. He says they took Fred to the emergency vet just as quickly as they could but he passed away during surgery. You know they will miss this incredible guy. Rest in peace Fred and job well done.
