Google is Still Tracking Your Location Even if Your ‘Location History’ Setting is Turned Off

Just another hoop you have to jump through to protect personal information…

A report from the Associated Press and Princeton University reported yesterday that Google is still tracking your location even if you turned off the ‘Location History’. The setting only prevents Google from adding your location to the Google Maps Timeline…. it doesn’t stop Google from tracking you.

If you want to stop it all together, you’ll need to turn it off in the Web and App Activity in your Google Account.

Tricky, Google, tricky.
