Driver Quits Virtual Race, Might Have Lost Sponsor
William Byron won the “video game” race, but all the attention is on Bubba Wallace and making him laugh.
Even though NASCAR is now iRacing, things are still getting heated. Controversy from this weekend’s race.
NASCAR changed the format this week and started with single-car qualifying to set the field for a pair of 50-lap heat races. Those heat races determined the starting order.
The drivers streamed the race for their fans and Bubba Wallace left early.
He seemed to “ragequit.”
“That’s why I don’t take this (crap) serious. Peace out,” Wallace said on his gaming stream.
After fans ripped him on Twitter, he laughed at how seriously some are taking iRacing with his response.
One of his sponsors may not be happy though? What do you think? Are they serious or just playing?
