Video: Zac Brown Band Releases “The Man Who Loves You The Most”
When I got to work this morning, I looked over things I might talk about today; we call it “show prep” and I read about one line of this and started crying and my heart tugged a little . Zac Brown Band is releasing new music with The Man Who Loves You The Most. The song is about the special bond between fathers and daughters.
Zac Brown says due to staying home a lot lately he has had extra time to spend with his kids and that prompted him to write the new tune. Just reading the title hit me in the gut.
My daddy used to tell me “I came along late in his life to cheer him up”, when I got older I came to realize I was probably a little surprise from Jesus He was 45 when I was born and my sisters were quite a few years older. He was able to retire when I was 12 and we spent a lot of time together. Even when he worked a very long day, he would come home and rest a minute. Then we would head outside to play baseball or basketball or just catch up on the events of the day. On the weekends, he would take me fishing even though he didn’t particularly enjoy it. And we had lots of great talks. He taught me my worth. He taught me how to expect to be treated in the world, with respect and honor. And he taught me how to earn that respect and how to treat others, all others. He spent TIME with me, lots and lots of time. And I sure do miss him.
