My Sweet Winnie Got Skunked This Morning
The night that we got back from vacation, I let the dogs out to do their businesses and as soon as I opened the door Winnie went nuts. She barked like I have never heard her bark before. I looked out and see what I thought were two bunnies right outside the fence in our front yard. Um, they weren’t bunnies.
As soon as I realized they were SKUNKS , yes two of them, I called for my husband rather loudly. Winnie was already out in the yard and he ran out to get her before she could reach them. Whew, the day was saved.
Early this morning I wasn’t so lucky. Apparently I have a family of them living on my property. I let Winnie out early and after a few minutes she came running on the porch barking wildly and the smell was not to be mistaken. Now we are in the process of trying to take the smell away. Apparently skunks give chase when they see you as well. This video made me giggle. For more Skunk facts look right here!
