Five Suspects Apprehended After Breaking Into A North Carolina Lighthouse
It looked like it could have been a caper carried out on a TV show. Five people in their late teens and early twenties broke into the Cape Lookout lighthouse in the Outer Banks this week but not really for malicious reasons.
The five broke in under the cover of darkness, clipped the locks on the lighthouse and proceeded to climb up. They were found out pretty quickly by law enforcement (I’m pretty sure there was some sort of alarm system in place) and they were apprehended. They came clean quickly to authorities with a simple explanation, they wanted to check out the view.
They were not arrested but rather cited for the offense. It IS pretty up there.
