Video: Tornado Touches Down In Myrtle Beach
I have gone to the Myrtle Beach area at least once every year every single year of my life and I have never been in the middle of one of these. Sure we have seen water spouts in the ocean before but nothing whirling and fast has ever come close to the shore until this past weekend.
The National weather service confirms an EF-O tornado touched down for about a minute between 74th and 73rd street North. It whipped up the sand right there on the beach but did not travel any furthur. No injuries reported but it made for some interesting video!
