It’s Lisa Bonet’s Birthday
On this day actress Lisa Bonet was born to Arlene Litman and Allen Bonet. Bonet is best known as Denise Huxtable, the unpredictable teenager on the hit series The Cosby Show. The sitcom aired for eight years on NBC from 1984 to 1992, and helped propel Bonet to a leading role in the Cosby spinoff, “A Different World”. Like the Cosby Show the sitcom turned out to be a groundbreaking, smash hit, chronicling her life, during her freshman year at a historically black college.
However, Lisa Bonet’s tenure on the show would be short lived because in 1987 Bonet married rock n roll star Lenny Kravitz, and soon after gave birth to her first child Zoe in 1988. She would later return back to the Cosby Show as Denise Huxatable, but this time as a wife, and mother to a cute, adorable unknown child star by the name of Raven Symone. After several appearances on network tv, Bonet took her talents to the Big Screen in her role as Will Smiths girlfriend in “Enemy Of The State” that happens to be one of my favorites!!! Currently she is living with husband, actor and “Aqua Man” star, Jason Momoa, and their two children Nakoa Wolf, and Lola.
