The Original Infomercial Guy Has Passed Away
He sold us lots of stuff we really didn’t need.
Infomercial King, Ron Popeil, has died. TMZ claims Ron experienced a severe medical emergency Tuesday and died early Wednesday morning surrounded by his family.
Popeil created the famous Showtime Rotisserie and coined the catchphrases “Set it and Forget it!!!” The product grossed more than a billion dollars in domestic sales. Popeil also created the Rhinestone Stud Setter, which later became the Bedazzler, as well as the Mr. Microphone and the Inside the Eggshell Egg Scrambler. If you had a catch-phrase, what would it be?
