Well, I am not proud that we won this battle. Emerging as an internet pop-cult meme, a “Karen” has become synonymous with demanding to speak to managers, complaining, and an unearned sense of self-importance. A customer service nightmare. But who is actually the biggest complainer and where do they live?
A new study from Bionic, UK business comparison experts, has analyzed over 1 million Trustpilot reviews to find out who the most common complainers really are and where they’re most active. They’ve also worked out which names are most likely to become the future “Karen”, and which US state has the most. Well, guess what? North Carolina comes in as number eleven on the list for being home to the most complaining Karens. Yay…
North Carolina comes in eleventh on the list of US state with the most complaining Karens. The state has 44,552 Karens, making it the 22nd most popular name in that part of America.

Here, it also happens to be the 26th most popular female name. New York comes in third with 94,063 Karens where it is the 30th most popular name.
