You come in our studio at any given time and you are going to hear something funny. I truly work with some of the funniest guys on the planet. And they don’t even try. They are naturals, all three of them. Are men scientifically wired to be funnier than women?
A psychologist at University of California, San Diego found that when it comes to humor, men have an edge but it is just small one according to Interprep. Even though 90 percent of both men and women agree with the stereotype that men are funnier, a test found the difference was tiny, just a .11 edge on a 5.0 scale.
The test involved a group of men and women in a caption writing contest and the captions were then rated by another group. The results proved men only have a slight edge on funny.
