McDonald’s Is Still Paying Its Workers In Ukraine Despite Restaurant Closures
Despite having to shut down 108 restaurants in Ukraine, McDonald’s is still taking care of its employees. Eatthis says the fast-food company has continued to pay its employees in the country as the war with Russia endures.
They have also set up an assistance program for workers living in Ukraine, with $5 million to help aid them during this time. “We are continuing to pay full salaries for our Ukrainian employees and have donated $5 million to our Employee Assistance Fund, and continue to support relief efforts led by the International Red Cross in the region,” said McDonald’s CEO and President Chris Kempczinski.
