10 Acre Asian Themed Expansion Begins At the North Carolina Zoo
Construction has already begun in Asheboro on a new multi-acre part of the North Carolina Zoo that will focus on the animals of Asia.
According to Channel 9, “Asia Continent” is projected to open in 2026 and will highlight several species of animals indigenous to that area including tigers, Komodo dragons, king cobras, and others.
The ten acres will reportedly include an indoor cafe where you can see the tiger’s habitat and an overhead “tiger walk”. To learn more get all the details from WSOCTV
