Porn Star Was Almost In Grease
The Independent says a famous porn actor nearly had a role in the movie “Grease.” In a recent interview, director Randal Kleiser revealed that Harry Reems was almost in the flick, alongside John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John. The late porn star, who was best known for his role in the 1972 adult film Deep Throat, was initially hired for the role of Coach Calhoun.
Kleiser explained, “[Producer]Allan Carr wanted to have the porn star Harry Reems play that part. He actually hired him, and then the studio said, ‘No, no, no. You can’t do that.’ And so they had to fire him.” Comedian Sid Caesar ended up playing the part. Kleiser claims Reems was “devastated” by the decision saying, “It was his moment to move from porn to the real upscale world. Allan felt so bad that he gave Harry five grand out of his own pocket.”
