Man Charged With Arson After Fire At Gastonia’s Iconic Tony’s Ice Cream
The Gastonia police department has made an arrest after a fire at Gastonia’s Tony’s Ice Cream. They charged 35 year old Marvin McCaskill with attempted murder and arson related offenses after the fire August 4 at Tony’s.
The smoke was showing at 5:45am at the business. An employee was there at the time but was not injured. The accused reportedly broke a window and threw in an inflammable accelerant. McCaskill’s DNA was reportedly found at the scene helping investigators solve the case.
