Thomas Rhett Overcomes Equestrian Fear, Buys Three Horses
In September, Thomas Rhett posted a video of himself walking a horse and then getting a riding lesson. In the caption, he confessed that he has been “freaked out by horses most of my life,” which is why the moment was so significant. Thomas’ wife Lauren grew up around horses, and three of his four daughters now ride horses two or three days a week, and because of that, he said, “I need to get more comfortable around them. Today was the closest I’ve really been to a horse in my adult years, and it was incredible. I plan to be around them a lot more often.”
Now Thomas revealed that not only is he more comfortable with horses, but he and his family have also added a few horses to their family. Rhett said, “We’re actually building a little barn at our farm. And we had one, and now we have three of ’em. And so, I get why people say don’t become a horse person unless you’re ready to get into an intense hobby. And now I’m starting to understand it. I’m fully into it, man. I love it.”
In November, Thomas announced US tour dates for his “Home Team Tour 23.”
The summer tour will begin May 4 in Des Moines, Iowa, at Wells Fargo Arena with Cole Swindell and Nate Smith. It will end at Thomas Rhett’s home team’s Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.
In a press release, he said, “Being on the road is one of my favorite places to be. I can’t wait to see the joy on y’alls faces next year and with my buddies Cole Swindell and Nate Smith. We’re definitely gonna have a good time.”
