Singing competition American Idol was the one that captured our attention way back when.  I remember seeing Simon Cowell arguing with a contestant and his mother about a performance.  I didn't even know what the show was yet.  But, I knew I liked it!  Well, there have been so many names and faces walk through the American Idol doors since then.  And, most notably for us besides Kelly Clarkson, Scotty McCreery and Daughtry, it was also Carrie Underwood.  They all continue to have extremely successful careers.  And, a Clover, South Carolina singer gets to step onto the American Idol stage February 26.  According to abcnews4, Aiden Aidor from Clover appears on the upcoming episode to audition in front of the current panel Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie.

And, I did some digging to find that Aiden is not the first Clover, South Carolina contestant.  Back in 2013, Ja'Bria Barber wowed the judges.  The panel back then included Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj, Keith Urban and Randy Jackson.  She auditioned in Charlotte.  And, although Urban was absent for the audition, she got yes votes from all other judges.  Barber impressed them with her version of Bonnie Raitt's "Pride and Joy."  The teen had a great swagger and spunk and expressed her love for fried frog legs.  Her clip even showed audiences Ja'Bria's technique for "frog giggin'" in the pond near her Clover home.  It even earned her a playful nickname of "frog killer."  So, it's nice to see another Clover, South Carolina singer appear on the show.  Good luck to Aiden Aidor!  We will all be pulling for you!  Here's a look back at Ja'Bria Barber.

Best Country Singer From Every State

Did your favorite win?

According to Taste of Country, this is the list of the best country singers from every state. The artist either had to be born in the state or spent a significant time there.

There was a lot of competition in some states, and not as much in others. Obviously, the South produced a ton of Country stars. But you might be surprised about some other states also. Here are the winners from the Carolinas and some other states. Don't blame me for the choices, I had nothing to do with them!

Delaware

Not much competition, but I like this choice. It's Jimmie Allen.

Georgia

This one was tough. The winner Allan Jackson

Arkansas

Two of my favorites from here, Johhny Cash and Glenn Campbell. Of course, our buddy Justin Moore is also a Razorback. The winner...Johnny Cash

Alabama

Another with lots of competition. The winner is Hank Williams

Florida

Country and soul blend together for the Sunshine state winner...Ray Charles

Tennesee

Of course...Dolly Parton

North Carolina

Lots of competition again like Randy Travis, Luke Combs, and more. But the winner is the "Chief", Eric Church.

South Carolina

Again a tough choice, the nod goes to Bill Anderson.
