New Starbucks Drinks Are Causing Stomach Problems
Starbucks’ new olive oil-infused drinks aren’t sitting well with some customers, who are complaining they experienced stomach issues after drinking them.
The line of “Oleato” coffee drinks, which come mixed with Partanna cold-pressed extra-virgin olive oil, debuted on February 21st in limited markets. The Daily Mail says a number of customers have complained they’ve spent way too much time in the restroom after drinking one of them.
One Reddit user, who goes by MoodyStarGirl, says half of her office “ended up needing to use the restroom” after trying the new drinks. Another writes, “Caffeine is a stimulant for your bowels and oil a relaxant. So yeah — wonderful idea by Starbucks.”
Starbucks officials have not yet commented on the reports.
