Local North Carolina Restaurant Using Robot Waiters
I never thought I’d see the day of a robot waiter. But its time has come. A local restaurant has started using robots in their facility.
According to WCNC, shortages are facing almost every industry, especially the food industry. At Yiding Hot Pot, they’ve come up with a different kind of solution to hiring: replacing waiters with robots.
They have a robot named Wall-e and Eve that help the servers. The owners say this allows the workers to relax a little because many are overworked. Owner Alice Wang said there’s a long way to go before robots replace humans. Wang said the robots cost about $10,000 but it’s worth every penny because they don’t collect a salary.
