Here’s Where You Can Find Free Sports Physicals In North Carolina
Seems like far too often we hear of athletes collapsing on the field due to underlying heart problems. One health agency has noticed and wants to do something about it. Especially when it comes to our kids. Here’s where you can find free sports physicals in North Carolina.
Atrium Health is hosting free sports physicals at Bank of America during their “Heart of a Champion” day. Atrium says they are responding after the rash of recent reports of student athletes who have passed out or even passed away during sporting events because of heart issues.
The sports physical will be extensive. EKG’s will be included in the free sports physical from Atrium. They will also be reviewing the students sports related medical and musculoskeletal, a heart exam and vision test. Heart abnormalities could lead to sudden cardiac arrest.
Heart of a Champion day starts in June. To learn more about it and get all the information you need, check out details from Channel 9 right here. For information on how to register here is some information from Atrium Health.
