A Thomasville, North Carolina man says his $100,000 lottery win is all thanks to “the perfect storm”. He says it was the perfect stew of severe rain, a bathroom break and a Post Malone concert in Charlotte. This North Carolina man credits Post Malone for his big lottery win.
All those things combined led up to the moment Zachary Sharpe from Davidson County, North Carolina won a $100,000 scratch off prize. Here is how it all went down. On Saturday Zachary and his wife and kids drove to Charlotte to see a Post Malone concert. During the show, thunderstorms were brewing. Thunderstorms have been postponing a lot of concerts in Charlotte lately. This was a good thing for this family as it turns out.
The severe weather delayed the performance according to Fox 8. That was the first step that eventually led to a big win. The storm caused the family to head back home much later than originally planned.
Now here is where it gets really good. On the way home Sharpe stopped at a convenience store because nature was calling. While stopped he “bought a couple of tickets and started scratching”. He was pretty pleased with his first prize of $300 but his second ticket was the real winner. On the second tier of the prize he won $100,000!
