Unbelievable Video: Bear Steals Golf Bag Right Off Golf Cart
I have a very simple philosophy when it comes to my run-ins/interactions with the animal kingdom. If they occur where they are supposed to, there’s no issue. For example, if I’m in a swamp, and I see an alligator, I’m fine. However, if I’m about to dive into a swimming pool and I see a gator waiting for me at the bottom, I’m not. Gators are not supposed to be found there.
Similarly, if I’m hiking in the mountains and I come across a bear, I’m good. No worries. That being said, if I’m playing golf and all of the sudden a bear comes out of nowhere, steals my golf bag off the cart and takes off with it?
Now don’t act like this sort of thing is just fanciful. It happened to Jerome Gignac as he was playing a round of golf at the Westwood Plateau Golf and Country Club. My man was just minding his own business, enjoying a summer round in British Columbia with his friends when crazy happened.
Gignac told Global News, “It came out of the woods, came to our carts, searched through our bags. There was no food in any of the golf bags, but for some reason, it picked my bag to pull off the cart.”
The stunning part of the video below that that Jerome decided to chase after the bear. Look, I have a lot invested in my golf clubs, I get that you don’t want to let them go. That being said, this is not some prankster. No, a full-grown bear grabbed your gear. You’re not gonna win this one. Let the bear take your Callaways.
The good news is apparently the bear was just looking for food. When he found none, he abandoned the Big Berthas and took off back into the woods. No word on if Jerome Gignac had a spare set of shorts in his bag to change into afterwards. <g>
