Salisbury Attorney Joins Race For North Carolina Governor
A Salisbury attorney is joining the race for North Carolina governor. Bill Graham announced Wednesday he would run in the 2024 Republican primary.
“I’m running to win a conservative future for North Carolina,” Graham said in a statement. “We need a conservative governor who shows up for work and will rescue this state from liberals like Roy Cooper and Josh Stein. I’m the only Republican who will do that.”
In making his announcement, Graham also said he would invest at least $5 million of his own money in the race. That money will go to work right away in a statewide ad campaign.
Graham is a personal injury attorney based in Salisbury. He made an unsuccessful run for the governor’s mansion in 2008.
The Republican race for governor was already crowded Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson, State Treasurer Dale Folwell and former U.S. Rep. Mark Walker are all seeking their party’s nod to face the Democratic nominee.
