Dazzling Christmas Light Display At South Carolina Mini Golf Spot
Growing up I remember a couple of activities being staples of the birthday party scene. 1. Going to see a movie. And 2. Putt putt golf. I didn’t even know it was called miniature golf until I was grown-btw. I honestly believe the reason I’m a good putter as an adult in golf is because of all the birthday parties I spent rolling a ball under a windmill and into a clown’s mouth.
Anyway, I’m a lifelong lover of miniature golf. And I’m also a lifelong lover of Christmas and all the trappings that come with it. So, when I saw that a putt putt place I pass by every day on the way to work is going all in for Christmas. I’m here for it.
High Seas Miniature Golf is located at 10001 Charlotte Highway in Indian Land, South Carolina. It, as you might guess boasts a year-round pirate/nautical theme. Well, beginning on November 17, High Seas will once again transform their motif into their traditional “Pirates Christmas” for the 2023 holiday season.
Apparently, this is really something to behold. According to Charlotte on the Cheap, the glowing lights give the impression that you’re immersed in a giant pirate’s treasure chest. The lights adorn the pirate ship and reflect off the water. There are amazing details to see in every direction, including snowfall, children’s activities, projection videos, a human-sized snow globe for photo ops, and more. Last year was the first for the event and this year is bigger and better.
High Seas Pirate Christmas runs through mid-January and as far as moderately priced Christmas light experiences, it’s hard to beat. The prices below are for UNLIMITED play for the entire day AND night. Oh and for police, firefighters, active military and vets, it’s free.
- $15 for adults
- $10 for kids (4-12)
- 3 and under Free
