Next Season Of Netflix’s ‘Love Is Blind’ To Be Set In Charlotte
The Queen City is about to be prominently featured on a popular reality dating show. Season Six of Netflix’s “Love is Blind” is set in Charlotte, North Carolina and features singles in the area looking for love.
If you’re unfamiliar with “Love is Blind,” here’s the deal. The show is an interesting social experiment. “Love is Blind” involves fifteen men and fifteen women from the same area (in this case, Charlotte). For ten days, the singles “date” each other in pods where they can talk to each other through a speaker, but cannot see each other. Here’s where it gets crazy. At any point during these initial ten days, a dater may extend a marriage proposal. It is only AFTER a proposal is accepted that the two can then meet face-to face. Wait, as if that’s not bananas enough, THEN the engaged couples head to a couples retreat at a resort. This is where they actually get to know that person and have opportunity for, ahem, “intimate encounters.”
I know, right? I can’t even. That’s doesn’t mean I don’t want to watch though. “Love is Blind” is hosted by real-life celebrity couple Nick and Vanessa Lachey and the Charlotte centric Season Six premiers on Netflix on February 14. Of course, Valentine’s Day. When else would you do it?
