Scotty McCreery Kicks ‘Coward’ Out Of Concert
Good for Scotty McCreery. Good for any artist that takes control of their crowd. On Saturday night at a concert in Colorado, our North Carolina pride and joy (and upcoming featured performer at Country 1037’s Stage of Stars event) spotted a man hitting a woman. I’ve got to tell you, one of the most amazing things about this story is that Scotty was able to see him in the first place. Whether it be bar, arena, or stadium, once the lights go down, performers on stage can barely see two feet in front of it.
The “Definition Of A Coward” Gets Evicted
Anyway, so Scotty McCreery had just gotten into his set at the Colorado State Fair on Saturday in Pueblo, Colorado, when he brought the whole thing to a complete stop. I don’t care who you are, it HAS to be alarming to see a man hit a woman, and Scotty couldn’t just let it go. He directed his security personnel to the man and had him escorted out.
Then, to explain to the audience what was going on, Scotty did not mince his words. According to WhiskeyRiff.com, “Y’all let the cop know who he the lady because that is absolutely unacceptable… Whoever you are, that is the definition of a coward. Hitting a lady, get the heck out of here. If we’re all set, let’s get right on back to the show.”
Again, Scotty McCreery cannot be commended enough. I would hope that if he hadn’t done something, those that were around the incident would have. There’s never a good reason for physical violence of any kind, but especially for a man towards a woman. Be better.
If there’s one thing the Covid-19 global pandemic should have taught all of us is how much the shared experience of live music means. It should be a joyous celebration. If you’re about anything else, stay home.
