Even though we haven’t carved the turkey yet it is not too early to be thinking about the sweet smell of fresh pine. Is your family a real or fake tree family? We definitely go real. I understand the benefits of artificial trees, they are beautiful, but to me, there is nothing like the look feel, and smell of pine.
We normally go somewhere in the mountains to find a tree but there are actually several places right in the Charlotte area where you can find a beautiful tree.
Some places are cut your own farms and some even offer hayrides, hot chocolate, food, and photographers to capture that magic moment when you find your family tree. When my son was little we would go to the mountains and we loved it but honestly, it was just too far and he was plenty cranky by the end of the day.
