Disney Film Slammed For ‘Unrealistic’ Female Body Type
When does it stop! Really!
A controversy has stemmed from a 2016 Disney short that has people rethinking the way characters are portrayed in cartoons.
In Disney’s “Inner Workings” some characters, namely “Kate” are drawn to have a huge backside and a tiny waist, a depiction many people found “unrealistic.”
The animated short aired right before Moana and is a six-minute animated story that follows the main character, Paul, as he’s being pulled in different directions by his internal organs.
People criticized “Kate” look including @Glitch_Plantbro who started a thread on Twitter about the abnormal-looking character. He posted the photo of “Kate” with the caption, “In no world did Pixar need to do this.”
It’s a darn cartoon. Just stop…now, please.
