Three Found Dead At North Carolina Gas Station Were U.S. Marines
Three men found dead at a North Carolina gas station were U.S. Marines stationed at Camp LeJeune.
The men were discovered Sunday morning in a car about 30 miles from the Marine base, outside a Speedway gas station in Pender County. In a statement, the Pender Count Sheriff’s Office said all three men were unresponsive. An investigation is underway. The men’s cause of death has not been released.
According to Spectrum News, the men were identified as Merax C. Dockery, 23, of Pottawatomie, Oklahoma; Ivan R. Garcia, 23, of Naples, Florida, and Tanner J. Kaltenberg, 19, of Madison, Wisconsin. The men were motor vehicle operators with the Combat Logistics Battalion 2, Combat Logistics Regiment 2 and 2nd Marine Logistics Group at Camp Lejeune, said First Lt. Raymond Fullbright, of the 2nd Marine Logistics Group.
