‘Dogfishing’ Trend Is Stumping Singles on Dating Apps
No one said dating would be easy… but fooling others to believe you have a pup isn’t gonna make it any easier!
If you haven’t heard of “dogfishing” it’s where someone uses someone else’s dog on their online dating profile, to get a date.
The practice is popping up on several online dating apps and it’s leaving daters feeling dogged out. “Sometimes women subconsciously equate things like how a man treats his dog is how he would treat a partner,” online dating coach Erika Ettin says.
Bottom line: Don’t use a random dog on your dating profile. What if you two end up dating and they ask where that cute little doggy on your profile is?! Honesty is the best policy people.
