Mountain Destinations Three Hours Or Less From Charlotte For Around $94 A Night
Fall leaf experts predict this will be the most colorful season in years for the mountains surrounding Charlotte. There are lots of directions you can go in to find your perfect spot to hike, bike, ride or just curl up by a fire and do absolutely nothing. Head towards Boone, Blowing Rock, and the High Country, or maybe you’d like to check out my old college stomping grounds in Western North Carolina.
It won’t hurt our feelings if you would rather go out of state. Virginia will be spectacular as well! If you are like me, one of the obstacles you may be facing is funds! Yes, times are tight! and of course time! There is a new list out with extraordinary listings for unusual places to stay. From Yurts, in Virginia to container houses. Have you ever considered a Glamping Dome or a container cabin? People are getting creative!
If you don’t have the time or the money to get out of town there are plenty of beautiful places to see leaves right here in our area! You would have to drive about an hour and a half but you could make a day trip out of going to Moses Cone Park in Boone. Crowders Mountain State Park gives you gorgeous views and it is right here in Gaston County. And Don’t forget about my favorite local park, Kings Mountain State Park. South Mountains State Park is also fairly close and lovely!
No matter if you travel and stay somewhere different for the first time or choose to just make a day trip of it, get out and enjoy and breathe deep!
