Should we pitch in tax dollars?
Panthers owner David Tepper talked with the media yesterday in Rock Hill. He was there making an announcement of a large donation to Miracle Park a facility for special needs athletes.
Tepper says that the new stadium will not have a dome. But if it gets built, he wants help with funding. Here is what the billionaire owner said yesterday.
“You know, at some point that building [Bank of America Stadium] will fall down. I said it before and I’ll say it again. I’m not building a stadium alone. The community’s going to have to want it.” My question is why do we need to finance a billionaire. The taxpayers don’t pay for our building in the South End? What do you think?
