Royal bells were ringing on this day. On July 29th,1981 Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer were married in St. Paul's Cathedral in London. They were married for fifteen years and divorced in 1996. On August 31st of 1997 Diana, Princess of Wales died in a terrible car accident that happened in Paris.

Charles and Diana’s Wedding Cake Up for Auction Forty years after their wedding, the wedding cake from the wedding of Prince Charles and Princess Diana is going up for auction. According to the NY Post, on August 11, a 28-ounce slice of the wedding cake is expected to go for at least $700.
The white marzipan cake has the royal coat of arms decorated into the cake. The slice is one of the original 27 cakes that were handed out during the royal wedding on July 29, 1981. Did you watch the royal wedding of Charles and Diana? Would you want this old cake?
