When I heard about this story, it reminded me of the Luke Bryan song "Most People Are Good". A Maiden police officer helped a woman he stopped for speeding after learning her house was on fire.

Latishea Elmore is a single mother of four on her way to work when she got the call that her empty house was on fire.  Naturally, she was upset, who wouldn't be.  And Elmore was speeding to find out the extent of her situation.  That is where Maiden police officer Jesse Freeman comes in.  Officer Freeman stopped Elmore but after learning about her predicament he went out of his way to help.

He quickly learned that Elmore's house was indeed on fire.  Not only did he not give her a ticket, but he comforted her and took her to a relative's house so that they could tend to the situation.  Freeman also prayed for the lady who was afraid she had lost her home.  The two recently reunited.  To learn more about this story get all the details from Channel 9.
